Why do you think the war ration book requires information on a person's age, sex, weight, height, and occupation?: I think the war rations book required all this information because if they did not, then people would steal the books of others and horde all of the goods that other people needed during this time.
2. What was the penalty for violating rationing regulations? : the penalty for violating rationing regulations was that a person would be imprisoned for a certain amount of time, given a fine of $10,000, or both.
3. Most Americans during World War II accepted rationing. Why do you think this was so?: i think that most americans Accepted rationing because they knew that their country was in a time of war and that soldiers and the military neeeded the supplies to continue fighting the war.

current event summary

many differnet things have been happening in the north african region. first, a major food crisis is occuring in north africa. not only that, but it stretches into southeast aisa. a group is in a process of raising money for a medical group in Mali to aid in medical needs. another thing occuring in North africa, specifically Algeria, woudl be that gas companies are selling straight to the consumer cutting out a middle man and increasing the income of the gas companies. in libya, german companies have found new oil wells, which will increase the income of Libya fro German consumers.

3. What was the goal of the march on Washington?: the goal of the march on washington was support the civil rights bill.

4. Who attended the march? over 250000 people attended the march including Martin Luther King Jr.

5. What was the goal of the Freedom Summer project?: the goal of Freedom summer Project was to help blacks to gain voting rights

6. Who volunteered for the project?: mainly college kids vounteered for the project.

7. What role did the violence shown on television play in this march?: it helped to show others what the march was about.

8. What did the march encourage President Johnson to do?: to sign the civil rights act of 1964 which prohibited discrimination.

9. What did the Voting Rights Act outlaw? the voting rights act outlawed literacy tests for black voters

10. What did the law accomplish?: the law had risen the black voting percentage by 10 percent.

1. What did the Civil Rights Act of 1875 do? : the civil rights act of 1975 declared that all public facilities were to be equal and to be to be accommodated to every person.

2. How did the Court rule in Plessy?: in court case Plessy vs Ferguson, the court ruled that all things would be "separate but equal" for both blacks and whites.

Citi group is accused of taking money from the oil investments. also, the oil rich countries of the Middle East are starting to invest in places that are not so wealthy. some companies are building places in poorer parts of the world. jordan is hosting iraqis. the cost of this will be somewhere around 2.3 billion dollars. finally syria adn iran created a co-op and had exchanged trade stock

Many different things have happened in the Middle East these past weeks. Saudi Arabia has decided to build a car factory to keep up with the demand of cars. This factory will be created by the UAE automobile company. The Middle East has suffered a massive inflation due to some countries not being able to sell oil and export and import problems. the country of Lebanon is undergoing a state of civil strife over a new form of government.
